Lisa E. Haberman, J.D., M.S.W., L.C.S.W. offers the following consulting services to businesses and government agencies:
After traumatic events such as the death of a co-worker, a reduction in work force, or an organizational restructuring, it is not unusual for individuals to experience emotional turmoil during which one's usual coping mechanisms are not enough, and the normal balance between thinking and emotion is impaired. Research has shown that after such events, groups of individuals highly benefit from a Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD). A CISD is a comprehensive, integrated, and systematic approach to crisis intervention that manages stress after traumatic events and thereby shortens the length and lessens the severity of the emotional impact of those events. CISD's ultimately lead to a more efficient, productive work force.
Ms. Haberman has presented workshops to Fortune 500 companies on topics including but not limited to: Enhancing Resilience During Change, Managing Stress, Creating Balance, Job Survival Skills, Communication Skills, Leadership Skills, Staying Strong as a Couple, Business Etiquette, Overcoming Overload, Life after Divorce, and Successful Single Parenting.
